AUTHOR GUIDELINES
1. General Information
JOCHI: Journal of Chemical Indicators is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes high-quality manuscripts in the field of chemical indicators and related analytical, environmental, biological, industrial, and sensor-based applications.
Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. All submissions are subject to a rigorous peer-review process.
2. Types of Manuscripts
JOCHI accepts the following types of manuscripts:

Original Research Articles
Reports of novel and significant research findings supported by sound experimental or theoretical analysis. -
Review Articles
Comprehensive, critical, and up-to-date reviews of recent developments in areas relevant to the journal’s scope. Review articles must provide clear scientific insights and future research perspectives. -
Short Communications
Concise reports of innovative findings with immediate scientific relevance. -
Methodological Papers
Articles presenting new or substantially improved methods, techniques, or analytical approaches based on chemical indicators.
3. Manuscript Preparation
3.1 Language
Manuscripts must be written in clear and concise English. Authors whose first language is not English are strongly encouraged to use professional language editing services prior to submission.
3.2 Manuscript Format

4. Structure of the Manuscript
Manuscripts should be organized according to the following structure:
4.1 Title Page

Title of the manuscript (concise, informative, and specific)
-
Full names of all authors (no academic titles)
-
Institutional affiliations of all authors
-
Corresponding author’s email address
4.2 Abstract
-
Maximum 250 words
-
Should clearly state the research background, objectives, methods, main results, and conclusions
-
Must be written as a single paragraph
-
Avoid citations and undefined abbreviations
4.3 Keywords
-
3–6 keywords
-
Listed in alphabetical order
-
Avoid repeating words already used in the title
4.4 Introduction
-
Present the background and scientific context
-
Clearly identify research gaps
-
State the novelty and objectives of the study explicitly
4.5 Materials and Methods
-
Provide sufficient detail to allow reproducibility
-
Clearly describe materials, instruments, experimental procedures, and data analysis methods
-
Previously published methods should be cited appropriately
4.6 Results

Present results clearly and logically
-
Use tables and figures where appropriate
-
Avoid duplication of data in text and figures
4.7 Discussion
-
Interpret results critically and scientifically
-
Compare findings with relevant previous studies
-
Highlight the significance and limitations of the study
(Results and Discussion may be combined if appropriate.)
4.8 Conclusion

Summarize key findings
-
Emphasize scientific contributions and potential applications
-
Avoid repetition of results
4.9 Acknowledgements

Include funding sources and contributions not warranting authorship
4.10 References

Must include only cited works

Use recent and relevant references, preferably from international journals

Minimum 20 references for research articles
5. Figures and Tables

Figures and tables must be cited in the text

Use high-resolution figures (minimum 300 dpi)

Tables should be editable, not embedded as images
-
Each figure and table must have a clear and descriptive caption
6. Citation and Reference Style
JOCHI uses the APA (7th Edition) reference style.

7. Ethical Considerations
JOCHI adheres to the ethical standards set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Authors must ensure that:

The manuscript is free from plagiarism

Data are presented honestly without fabrication or manipulation
-
All authors have significantly contributed to the research
-
Conflicts of interest are clearly disclosed
8. Plagiarism Policy
All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding acceptable limits or containing unethical overlap will be rejected.
9. Peer Review Process
JOCHI applies a double-blind peer review process. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers. The final decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief.
10. Open Access Policy
JOCHI provides immediate open access to its content under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) License, allowing unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction, provided the original work is properly cited.
11. Submission Checklist
Before submission, authors must ensure that:
